I am conducting research in Kenya (including Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu and Mombasa), between September and December 2026, supported in part by the Smuts Memorial Fund. I am interviewing people with polio-related disabilities, in collaboration with the Disabled Empowerment Society of Kenya, meeting with disability experts, academics and stakeholders, and viewing primary sources at various archives. I will be writing a weekly newsletter about my experiences and findings.
